The WCAC (DC) uses a match play format with six individual matches for one point each and a best ball match in each foursome for three more points, a total of nine. They will play 12 holes.
The MIAA (Baltimore) uses match play as well but they use a "nassau" format with three points for each individual match - a total of 18 points and then one point for each of the best ball of the foursomes for three more points, a total of twenty-on. They too will play 12 holes.
The IAC (DC) uses stroke play format with six players but counting only the top five. They will usually play 9 holes but extend a match if there is sufficient time. That would be determined before teeing off.
